This French couple found a 1930's canal boat on the internet and took 6 months to fashion it into their own little "cocoon." They filled it with repurposed objects, interesting finds and castoffs that give every piece of furniture in the boat a second life. Now, they live in this cool little intimate space just a stone's throw from Paris! I can hardly imagine living in a space like this- I wonder if it's claustrophobic with the lower ceilings and such? I love their take on decorating it with found, used things, though.

Isn't it gorgeous?!
Wow that is lovely - they have some beautiful furniture. There's a 'boatel'in Arles,France that we plan to stay on, on our next trip.
I always thought it would be so romantic to live on a boat - and this is a dreamy one!

that's not my age: that should be such a fun experience! i've never stayed on a boat before but France would be the perfect place to try it out.
blue muse: it does seem kind of romantic, doens't it? i found it funny that in the article, one of the owners said that life on a boat is definitely the kind of thing that you either love or hate!
